The goddess says she has heard all the vidyās of Bhairavī and now asks for the armour called Trailokyavijaya, which wards off every weapon and missile. Īśvara answers that by reading and wearing it one conquers the three worlds: wearing it Madhusūdana slew the daityas, Brahmā creates, Kubera became lord of wealth, Indra lord of the gods, and Īśvara himself the conqueror of the three worlds; it is never to be given to another's disciples or to non-practitioners, not even to sons. Its ṛṣi is Dakṣiṇāmūrti, its metre virāṭ, its deity Bālabhairavī, and its bīja is threefold. Then the guard: Bālā's bīja on the head, Kumārī on the forehead, the vāgbhava on the eyes and ears, the kāma bīja on the nose, Bālā on the tongue; the three parts of the Bhairavī vidyā on the throat, shoulders, arms, hands, heart, chest, breasts, sides, belly, middle, back, navel, hips, thighs, secret parts, knees, shanks and feet and the whole body; the same bījas in the east, south-east, south and south-west, the bījas of Kālī in the west, north-west, north and north-east, above and below, and Tārā with her sword and chopper everywhere — in battle, in the forest, in a fort, in water hard to cross. Whoever reads it with restraint gains the fruit of worship and Lakṣmī and Vāṇī live in his house without rivalry; whoever fears an enemy, battle, the forest, water, a debate, a king's anger, the planets, a storm, Yama or the guru's wrath is, on reciting it at the three junctures after worshipping the goddess, like Maheśa himself and victorious.
