Īśvara gives the armour of Lakṣmī, by merely knowing which one becomes Sadāśiva himself, the mantra alone sufficing without worship; the goddess, giver of wealth, is to be served above all by seekers of learning. The viniyoga names the blessed Śiva as sage of the four-syllable armour of Viṣṇu's consort, anuṣṭubh its metre, Vāgbhavī its deity, the vāgbhava bīja, Lajjā as śakti, Ramā as kīlaka, and its aim is poetry, learning and every siddhi. Aiṃ guards the head, hrīṃ the eyes; the consort of Viṣṇu in her letter-form guards tongue, mouth, ears, cheeks, nose, lips, teeth, palate and jaw; Pārvatī the ears, arms and breasts; the goddess the heart, wrists, neck, sides, back, private parts, buttocks, navel, shanks, knees and feet; Kāmeśī, Puṣṭi, the exalted one, the sage, Śambhu's beloved, Vāgbhavī, Hara's consort, Ramā and Māyā guard every limb; then Vijayā, Jayā, Śivadūtī, Sundarī, Bhairavī, Bheruṇḍā, Tvaritā, Ugratārā, Kālikā, Kālarātri, Vanadurgā, Kāmākhyā, the yoginīs, mudrās, Mothers and the goddesses of the cakra guard the sādhaka in every act. The armour must not be shown to the deceitful, the faithless, the reviler or the maimed, for the viewer becomes a killer of Śiva; it is given to the well-born, devoted, pure Vaiṣṇava, one's own peaceful, rich and wise disciple. It is written on Saturday or Tuesday with red sandal and lac together with the full cakra, or with the svayambhū flowers, one's own and another's semen and perfumes, or with gorocanā, saffron or red sandal, on a good tithi under Śravaṇā on a Sunday, or under Aśvinī, Kṛttikā, Phalgunī, Maghā, Pūrvabhādrapadā or Svātī on a Tuesday, in the Āyuṣmat, Prīti, Brahma, Indra, Śukra and other yogas and the Kaulava, Bālava and Vaṇija karaṇas, in an empty house, a cremation ground or a lonely place; a kumārī and the supreme goddess are worshipped with fish, meat, greens and cakes, brāhmaṇas fed, and the hunting tale told for three days. Then the wearer gains killing, hatred and the other rites, becomes Pārvatī's son honoured by every śāstra, and — worshipping the guru as Hara and his wife as Hara's beloved without distinction — has siddhi near at hand.
