Tantroktam Ratri Suktam — Brahmā asks the Sleep of Viṣṇu to let him wake
Author Brahma (as spoken to the Goddess) Verses 15, anuṣṭubh metre

Viṣṇu lies asleep on the cosmic waters, and two demons rise to kill the one seated on the lotus above him. He turns to the Goddess who is that sleep, and praises her as everything: the call that feeds the gods, the half-measure of Om, creation, keeping and undoing, even the fierce Night of Doom. Then comes the request that wakes Viṣṇu. A short night prayer, also called the Ratri Suktam, taken from the first chapter of the Durga Saptashati.

विश्वेश्वरीं जगद्धात्रीं स्थितिसंहारकारिणीम् ।
