Durga Apaduddharaka Stotram — Bow to you, saviour of the world: protect me, Durgā
Verses 13, bhujaṅgaprayāta metre

A hymn for a person in trouble. It lists the places and moments where help is needed: forest, battlefield, enemies, water, the king's house, a gale, the sea of calamity. Each time the answer is the same: tvam ekā gatiḥ, you alone are the way out. The hymn is set in a talk between Umā and Maheśvara, and the speaker of the last four verses tells how it is to be recited. See Durga and Chandika.
