Bhavani Bhujanga Stotram — The Goddess from the lotuses within to the crown of her head
Author Ādi Śaṅkarācārya Verses 17, bhujaṅgaprayāta metre

A hymn that looks at the Goddess slowly, as a devotee would in meditation. It starts inside the body, where she shines in the lotuses along the central channel and drinks the nectar of the moon, and then rises from her red-stained feet to the crescent on her crown. The last verses drop the picture and speak plainly: you are the sun, the moon, fire and water; you are mother, father, teacher; protect me from the fear of this forest of life. Bhavānī is Parvati, wife of Shiva, seated here on the Sri Chakra.
