A litany rather than a story. Bagalāmukhī, the yellow-robed Goddess of the Mahāvidyā family, is called by her own names and by those of Tara, Kali, Bhuvaneśī, Lalitā, Mātaṅgī and others, as if all of them were one power. She is the one who stills (stambhana) the wicked, the daughter of the mountain, the slayer of Madhu, Kaiṭabha, Mahiṣa, Śumbha and Raktabīja. Three closing verses name the fruit of reciting the hundred and eight. See Baglamukhi.
