Signs a Divine Power Is Protecting You During Sadhana

The speaker says this question comes most strongly from a new SadhakOne who undertakes a sadhana; the practitioner as distinct from the ordinary worshipper. who has done three or six months of sadhana: is some divine power with me or not, and how do I know? He explains where the question comes from. When anyone begins a sadhana, they hold great faith in one deity, and behind that faith is usually a story they have heard — that some person served Bhagwati's form and by her effect gained victory over enemies. Another sadhak's life becomes the motivation. Then, hearing that "so-and-so has such experiences and says a shakti walks with him", the beginner asks whether the same is true for them, and if so, which shakti. Before giving any signs, he asks the listener to understand one thing fully. For an ordinary person, a householder, at the level all of us are living at now, "divine power" is said only of some Lokpal, gana or shakti of Bhagwati, Mahadev or the other great powers. It does not mean Sadashiva himself walks beside you. If Sadashiva or Mahadev actually began to walk with someone, he says, the bhakti at that level would be so great that the person would have no need to think about or search for these topics on YouTube; that level is simply different. But an ordinary beginning, he says, starts small. Only by starting here does the resolve grow to the point where one day Mahadev himself shows Kripa with full capability and makes the sadhak capable too. He asks that this be understood before anything else.

The speaker says that if you are doing sadhana or upasana of any deity and their Kripa is on you, you can test it at the time of the tantric akharas: Ram Navami, when akhara grounds are set up, Shivratri, the month of Savan, or a festival like Ambubachi. Go into any akhara ground at that time, or simply recall an occasion when you did. There you will see people, sadhaks and ordinary folk alike, with something "coming over" them — one starts playing (possessed), one has trouble, one cries, one shouts. He calls the akhara ground a place of shakti-pradarshan, a show of power, with a great churning of energies. He notes that in villages the elders — the senior women, mother and father — forbid going anywhere during akhara time and say "not today". The elders themselves go, offer puja and leave without lingering; only those with deep knowledge stay to watch and listen, or those who have something to show, which is a different matter. His point is this: in any place where negative or positive or any kind of shaktis are being projected at one another and energy is being displayed, if divine shaktis have grace on you, you pass through it steady, and no one can pull a single hair; nothing happens to you. This holds even if you have never had a direct darshan or any other experience. He gives his own experience. He went, unknowingly and at a very young age, into a region he describes as practically a second Mayong for magic and tantra-mantra, without knowing its reputation. Four people were with him. Tantra was done on those four; their condition became so bad — stomachs running, dysentery — that they could not walk, and within two or three hours they had to be put on IV drips. He, though so young, did not get so much as a sneeze and came away entirely unharmed. At that time he did no special sadhana, only ordinary service of Jagadamba"Mother of the World" — an epithet of the Devi.. He says this can happen to you too. Having watched the matter since, he says that whoever the shaktis first fully show grace on can go into any such region and tantra has no effect: the shakti protects her child completely. This, he says, is the first sign.

The speaker describes the second sign. It comes whenever you pass a place where negative energy or someone's Utara has been placed. He asks the listener to pay special attention to crossroads on Amavasya, on purnima, on a special day like Kali Amavasya or the night of chaudas, or any spot where an utara taken off someone's head has been set down, a lamp lit beside it, or some Putla tantra performed. Such ground, he says, is bad. When you pass there, if a shakti's Kripa is on you, two things happen. He says this is from his own experience. First, at the moment that thing is about to come in front of you — say you are on a vehicle and might drive over it or your foot might land on it — a very loud cry of some animal or bird sounds there. It will seem as if a kite screamed or something wailed loudly. That cry, he says, is only a signal from the shakti whose grace is on you. Or a dog will suddenly howl very loudly, so that your attention is drawn that way: "look, something is ahead", so you do not step over it. And if not that, he says, then a cat will cut across the road there, or some such small event will happen nearby for a fraction of a second, just enough to make you think "I need to be careful here". That is the second sign, and by it you are saved from the tantra.

The speaker says the third sign is the most divine and the best of all, and also the one that no sadhak is able to hold on to. It is receiving, through a Swapna, a premonition of some event that is about to happen — a signal in advance. He says the trouble is what we do with it. When it has happened two or four times, we become pleased and go around telling everyone, "oh, I knew all this already, look, it happened just as I saw" — and right there we spoil everything. He says he has explained this in two or three separate videos. Those videos, he says, cover what it means when the goddess gives darshan in a dream, what to do if a mantra is received in a dream, and what to do if one is being taken to some region in a dream. He asks listeners to hear them and understand how to proceed, because each event can be different for each person, though at the root it is the same thing. With this, he says, the three main signs are complete.

The speaker says that besides the three main signs, there is one more experience, and it comes when someone wants to do you harm. A person who was good for you today may tomorrow begin thinking ill of you. When that happens, the shakti shows her Kripa like this: whenever you meet that person, the moment you meet, your body's energy goes down and you turn negative toward them. If this happens again and again on meeting the same person, he says, understand that they are plotting against you somewhere and are going to become the cause of harm to your honour, your finances or your social position. The shakti is giving that signal through your mind, placing the signal or thought there repeatedly, so that you become careful and alert. He explains why it comes this way. You are not such a great sadhak that you have made a shakti manifest before you, so that she would come and tell you in person, "look, this is happening here". But indirectly, staying within her own limits, a shakti who has grace on you protects you everywhere through these means, and saves and stops you in every way. He says he hopes listeners will look at these things in their own lives and understand whether the shakti's grace has come to them yet or not, and that there are other signs too which he will share in later videos.
