Hanuman Pancharatnam — Five gems on Hanumān

Each line ends on the same sound, and each verse paints Hanuman from a different side: his stillness, his face, his strength, his deed in Laṅkā and his care for the poor. The last verse names the hymn "pañcaratna", the five gems, and says what it gives. A short companion to the Hanuman Chalisa for those who want something quieter.

English sense

Today I bring to mind the dear son of the Wind. He has no wish left for any pleasure of the senses. Tears of joy rise in his eyes and his hair stands on end, and he is wholly pure. He is the first among the messengers of Sītā's husband.
