She who lifts people out of misfortune; she who strikes down hardship; she who takes away what is hard to bear; she who gives knowledge that is hard to reach; the forest fire among the hard-to-conquer demons.

The one hard to reach; she who is hard to behold; she whose own nature is hard to know; she who gives the way through hard places; she whose knowledge is hard to reach; she who rests in hard-to-reach places.

She who stands in knowledge hard to reach; she who shines in meditation hard to reach; she who confounds the hard to conquer; she who moves through hard places; she whose form is the meaning hard to grasp.

Slayer of the demon Durgama; bearer of weapons hard to withstand; she whose body is hard to approach; she who is hard to reach; she who is hard to approach; queen of the hard-to-reach.

Fearsome in hard places; blazing in hard places; light in hard places; she who tears hardship apart.

Whoever recites this string of names of me, Durgā, will be free from every fear. There is no doubt.
