Batuk Bhairav Hridaya Stotra anushthan against abhichar: who it is for and why it works
Strengthen your own aura instead of chasing relief that keeps fading
The speaker dedicates this vidhan to householders, women or men, who are wandering from place to place with an abhicharik problem that finds no cure. When tantra-mantra has been done on you, he says, your Aura becomes very weak: the body grows heavy, you sway, anger and irritability rise. People get themselves treated somewhere, feel better for a while, then the same state returns — because the enemy keeps raising the dose of the Abhichara with a new prayog each time you reduce it. The lasting answer is to make yourself strong — your aura, body, subtle body and Prana Urja — so that the enemy's activity cannot affect you, either with the help of someone who can take you that far, or by yourself. This vidhan is for everyone, with no vidhi-nishedh, an "all or nothing" remedy. Batuk Bhairava, he says, is a mahashakti in a sixteen-year-old child form, but when he comes to give his devotees abhaya and punish wrongdoers he looks at nothing, and the biggest tantriks eat defeat — so do it without worry; but you must be in the right and have the bodily strength to carry it out.
The speaker says today's subject is for all householders, and above all for those wandering from place to place in great distress with abhicharik problems that are finding no cure; the video is dedicated to them and may be shared with such a person in full. The subject is to use the Hridaya of Batuk Bhairav as correctly as possible and be freed of one's troubles. Any sadhak, woman or man, can do it. He asks listeners to note what happens to someone under abhichar. When tantra-mantra has been used on you, your aura becomes very weak, so whenever the enemy or the enemy's tantrik performs abhicharik acts, your body becomes very heavy, you start swaying, the element of anger rises, irritability grows. You have shown yourself in many places; you got relief for a while, then no more. You did some path and puja, were fine for a time, and the same situation arose again. The reason, he says, is that the quantity of the abhicharik projection in your body keeps being increased from time to time: whenever you do something to reduce it, your enemy puts in some new prayog and raises it again, and your body weakens once more. So it becomes necessary to make yourself strong — to balance and strengthen your aura, your body, your subtle body and your prana energy so much that whatever abhicharik activity the enemy does cannot affect you. This can happen in two ways: with the help of someone who can help you to that level — they will have their own method — or by yourself, on which the channel already has ten or more videos. Today's vidhan, he says, is fully for every person, with no vidhi-nishedh; in a way it is for an "all or nothing" situation — if it has to be done, it has to be done. Remember that Batuk Bhairav is a mahashakti: the name is Batuk, his form is taken as sixteen years old, a child form, the child form of a youth — but when he comes to give abhaya to his devotees, to suppress enemies, to punish what is wrong, when he comes in his power, he looks at nothing, and the biggest tantriks eat defeat. So do this prayog without worry. But you should be in the right, and there should be enough strength in your body to carry out this vidhi. Later, at the sankalpa, he adds the same point sharply: if you want release from all these abhicharik activities, listen to the whole thing and do it. If you would rather depend on others, have plenty of money to squander and the time to go to big tantriks and pay fifty thousand, a lakh, two lakhs — that is your wish. But if you have the will, Bhagwati's grace and the good sense to do it yourself, then listen to the whole video, write things down, prepare, make your morale fully strong and pounce. One who protects himself, God too stands behind and raises up; those who depend on others, nobody can save — people will loot them.
Batuk Bhairav anushthan: venue, length of the sankalpa, dress, asan and daily materials
At home only if the house itself is free of abhichar
The speaker says the Batuk Bhairav Hridaya Stotra anushthan is done at home only if the house is free of abhichar and the trouble is on your body alone; if the house itself is afflicted, do it at a Shiva, Mahakali or any temple — even a Hanuman temple — and the first anushthan should be done outside in any case. Take a Sankalpa of 11 or 21 days; if the abhichar is heavy, take a small 11-day one first and 21 days the next time. Wear yellow or red — a suit or sari for women — and sit on a wool, red or yellow blanket, or kusha asan, facing the deity, no direction rule. Each day you need two or three cow-dung cakes, a little ghee and camphor for a small Havan at the temple, Gangajal, a sweet Bhog — raisins, or a meetha rot of wheat flour kneaded with jaggery and ghee — and for the sankalpa a coin, a flower and unbroken basmati rice dyed yellow with turmeric as Akshat. At a Hanuman temple the bhog goes to Hanuman with a Tulsi leaf, and the same bhog is set in Bhairav's name where you sit; Bhairav's bhog is never eaten by you during the anushthan — with a little gangajal on it, it is fed to any dog near the temple.
The speaker says this prayog is to be done at home only when your house is free of abhichar. If there are abhicharik activities on the house, if there is trouble in the house, do it at a Shiva temple, or a Mahakali temple, or any temple. If the house is free and the trouble is only on your body, you may do it at home; otherwise do it outside — and the first prayog should be done outside in any case. The temple may be of any deity; a Hanuman temple will do too. Sitting in a temple there is no rule of direction; sit facing the deity. Take a sankalpa of 11 days or 21 days. If the amount of abhichar is very great, he says, first take the small 11-day sankalpa, and when you take it again, take 21 days. Woman or man, keep your clothes yellow or red: girls may wear a suit-salwar, and a woman who wears a sari should arrange a yellow or red one. The asan should be of wool or of blanket — a red or yellow blanket asan — or the kusha asan that is sold. Every day a small havan has to be done, at the temple itself, for which you need at least two or three cow-dung cakes, a little ghee and camphor each day. Gangajal must be with you every day. For bhog you may bring raisins from home or, if you have the strength for it, make any sweet bhog such as a meetha rot: wheat flour with jaggery and ghee well kneaded in, shaped like a roti. If it is a Hanuman temple, offer the bhog to Hanuman ji with a tulsi leaf, and keep the same bhog in a second place in Bhairav ji's name where you will sit to recite. The bhog kept in Bhairav's name — take care — you are not to eat yourself throughout the anushthan; feed it to any dog found around the temple, with a little gangajal put on it. For the sankalpa keep a coin in hand — five, ten or one rupee — a flower, and a little rice: unbroken basmati rice coloured yellow with turmeric, which is what you should take as akshat. Write down the materials as you listen, he says.
Batuk Bhairav anushthan: the sankalpa wording and the opening smaran and lamps each day
Guru or Dattatreya, Ganapati, kul devata, temple deity, then Bhairav's chaumukh lamp
The speaker says each sitting of the Batuk Bhairav Hridaya Stotra anushthan opens by sprinkling Gangajal on oneself — no mantra needed — and, holding Akshat, a flower and a coin, taking a Sankalpa in one's own name: for the root destruction of whatever abhichar any enemy has done on my body, for complete protection, for the grace of Batuk Bhairav Baba and for every kind of protection of my body and mind in future, I resolve to recite the Batuk Bhairav Hridaya Stotra yathashakti. The items go into a plate. Then remember your Guru mentally — or Dattatreya as guru with "Gurur Brahma Gurur Vishnu", asking his blessing and adesh to complete the sankalpa and destroy the enemy — then Ganesha with any mantra you know, then your kul devi-devata (if unknown, address "whoever and wherever you are, protector of my kul", asking to be freed so as to serve Bhagwati and reach life's purpose). Then bow to the temple's deity and light a til-oil, mustard-oil or ghee lamp for them, and at your seat a medium-size mustard-oil Chaumukh Deepak lamp for Bhairav with eight doubled wicks of black thread or cotton, set on rice or black sesame in a plate, to burn one and a half to two hours.
When you sit to recite, the speaker says, first sit on the asan and sprinkle gangajal over yourself; no mantra is needed — he is giving none, so that even a new person can do it. Then, with akshat, a flower and a coin in hand, take the sankalpa, saying: I, (your name), for the root destruction of whatever abhichar karma has been done on my body by whatever enemy, for the attainment of complete protection, for the grace of Batuk Bhairav Baba, for every kind of protection in future — of my body and my mental state — take the sankalpa to recite the Batuk Bhairav Hridaya Stotra to the best of my ability. Only that much. Then put the akshat and flower you held into a plate kept for it. Next, remember your guru mentally. If you have a guru, good; if not, remember Bhagwan Dattatreya in the guru's form, reciting "Gurur Brahma Gurur Vishnu…", and take his blessing: O Bhagwan Dattatreya, you are established as the guru of the whole world; kindly bless me and give the adesh that, reciting the Batuk Bhairav Hridaya Stotra, by its grace and by Batuk Bhairav's grace I may fulfil my sankalpa and, gaining his grace, destroy my enemy at the root. Then remember Ganapati with whatever mantra you know — "Gajananam bhutaganadi sevitam" or any other. Then remember the devi-devatas of your kul. If you know who they are, fine; if not, say in your mind: O protecting shakti of my kul, whoever you are, wherever you are, I do not know about you, but I remember you mentally, from the heart. O Bhagwati, kindly bless me; I have taken birth in your kul and lineage; grant that, freed from all this, I may serve Bhagwati well for life, live a good life and attain the purpose of my life. Human life, he says, is not given only for all this; there is some purpose, which you will learn only by her grace, so this should be said. After that, remember and bow to whichever deity's temple you are sitting in — Mahakali, Shiva, Hanuman, Bhairav — and light a lamp in their name right at the start: one lamp of til oil, mustard oil or ghee, as you can afford. Where you sit to worship, light a chaumukh lamp of mustard oil in Bhairav ji's name — a medium-size lamp so that it burns an hour and a half to two hours. Make the wicks of black thread or of cotton, and keep every wick double, so eight wicks go into the four mouths. Set the lamp on rice or on black sesame, in the plate itself; you can move it later.
Batuk Bhairav Hridaya Stotra: viniyoga, rishyadi nyasa and the 27 to 108 recitations with cloves and camphor
Verses 1 to 14 only; raise the count, never lower it
The speaker says to print the Batuk Bhairav Hridaya PDF from the description and first do the opening vidhi it gives: the salutations to Ganesha, Uma-Maheshwara, guru and Bhairav, the purva peethika, Shri Devi Uvacha and Shri Shiva uvacha. For the Viniyoga take water in hand, say the viniyoga mantra — asya Shri Batuk Bhairav Hridaya Stotrasya, Brihadaranyaka rishi, anushtup chhanda, Shri Batuk Bhairav devata, abhishta-siddhyarthe pathe viniyogah — and drop the water beside the burning Chaumukh Deepak lamp. Do only the rishyadi Nyasa, touching head, mouth, heart and then the whole body; leave out the hridaya, anga and kara nyasa. Then, holding at least 18 cloves and one big lump of camphor in the hand, recite verses 1 to 14 — from "Om pranave sah shirah patu" to "raksha raksha mam kaal sankatat" — at least 27 times, at most 108; 108 is best, 27, 54, 81 or 108 as you are able, counted with supari, flowers or on the fingers. Increase daily and never decrease: never do 108 the first day and 27 the next. Afterwards put the cloves and camphor in an empty clay lamp, offer water at the chaumukh lamp, which is Bhairav's form, and light them there. This is done daily for 11 or 21 days, and the anushthan at least three times.
Once the sankalpa and the opening pujan are done, the speaker says, download the PDF of the Batuk Bhairav Hridaya linked in the description and keep a printout. First do all the vidhi-vidhan given at its beginning and recite it. The nyasa given there is very simple; do it, and listen to how. At the start, after "Batuk Bhairav Hridaya Stotra", it gives Ganeshaya namah, Uma-Maheshwarabhyam namah, Gurave namah, Shri Bhairavaya namah; read the purva peethika, Shri Devi uvacha and Shri Shiva uvacha. Then comes the hridaya stotra viniyoga: take water in the hand and read the viniyoga mantra — asya Shri Batuk Bhairav Hridaya Stotrasya, Shri Brihadaranyaka rishi, anushtup chhanda, Shri Batuk Bhairav devata, abhishta-siddhyarthe pathe viniyogah — and having said it, let the water fall near the chaumukh lamp you are burning. Then the rishyadi nyasa: here do only the rishyadi nyasa; leave out the hridaya nyasa, anga nyasa and kara nyasa — only this much. Where it says "namah shirasi", touch your head; "namah mukhe", take the hand near the mouth; saying "Shri Batuk Bhairav devatayai namah hridaye", touch the heart; and at "viniyogaya namah", touch the whole body once. Now begin. Recite from the first shloka to the fourteenth. How? Take care to hold in the hand at least 18 cloves and one lump of camphor — 18 cloves and one big lump of camphor. Holding them, recite from shloka number one, "Om pranave sah shirah patu", up to the fourteenth, "raksha raksha mam kaal sankatat". How many times? At least 27, at most 108; 108 is very best. Do 27, 54, 81 or 108 as your strength allows — this is why "yathashakti" was put in the sankalpa. Increase it daily, do not reduce it: start with 27, then 54 as your strength grows, then 108 — that you may do. But do not do 108 on the first day and 27 from the next; it should be increased, never decreased. To keep count you can keep ten supari or some flowers, or count on your fingers. When the recitations are complete, keep an empty clay lamp and put the camphor and the 18 cloves into it. Then take water in the hand again and offer it at the chaumukh lamp that is burning — the Bhairav chaumukh lamp is the form of Bhairav — and after that light the cloves and camphor right there. This much is to be done for at least 11 days, 21 days, or as many days as you are able; the first time do 11 days, from the next time 21. And the work must be done at least three times — this anushthan you will do three times.
Batuk Bhairav anushthan: the daily havan of nine black-sesame laddus
Each laddu circled once in reverse over the head, then into the cow-dung fire
After the recitation and samarpan, the speaker says, comes the Havan part of the Batuk Bhairav anushthan. Make laddus of black sesame: half a kilo of black til with 250 grams of jaggery and 125 grams of pure desi ghee, a little Gangajal added — he says to make 11, and nine are needed each day, taken along to the temple. Find a spot in the temple where you can burn cow-dung cakes, light them, and take each laddu in the hand, touch it to your head and turn it once in reverse — take care, reverse — with no mantra needed, only "Om Batuk Bhairavaya namah" — or even without the Om, just "Batuk Bhairavaya namah" — or, in the mind, "O Batuk Bhairav, this bhog is offered to you, kindly accept it", and drop it into the fire; do this nine times. Then take water in the hand and pour it clockwise around the fire three times, binding it as it is called, bow to Bhairav ji and come home. The whole sitting takes two to three hours at most with 108 recitations, less with 27; the laddus stay nine whatever the count.
That was the first part, the speaker says; now how the havan vidhi is done. After the samarpan and the rest, laddus have to be made — he says 11. How? Take black sesame: bring, say, half a kilo of black til, mix into it 250 grams of jaggery and 125 grams of desi, pure ghee, add a little gangajal and make good laddus. Every day you will need nine laddus, and nine you will carry there each day. If you do this without fail, wherever you are, it is very best. The ahuti is given into a small fire of cow-dung cakes. So first look for a place in the temple where you will be able to burn, light the cow-dung cakes there, and take each laddu in the hand, touch it to your head and turn it around once, in reverse only — take care, you turn it in reverse. While turning it in reverse, no mantra needs to be read in Bhairav ji's name: only "in the name of Batuk Bhairav", or "Om Batuk Bhairavaya namah" — or do not even say Om, just "Batuk Bhairavaya namah" — or just saying in the mind "O Batuk Bhairav, this bhog is offered to you, kindly accept it" — saying this, keep dropping them into the burning cow-dung fire. This action is done nine times. After that take water in the hand and do prakshalan around the fire: moving clockwise, circle it three times — what is called binding it with water. Then bow to Bhairav ji there and come back home. It will take you two to three hours at most; if you do it in the large way, 108 recitations, that long — with 27 it takes less. Do 27, 54 or 108 recitations, but the laddus stay nine.
Batuk Bhairav anushthan: the last day's laddu bhog and daan, the daily dog feeding, and disposal of the sankalpa items
No prasad comes home; three anushthans free you fully
The speaker says that on the last day of a Batuk Bhairav anushthan, whatever the temple — Kali, Shiva or Bhairav — take at least half a kilo to a kilo, or up to a sava kilo, of laddus, offer them as bhog and hand them to the pujari to distribute; no Prasad at all is brought home. That day also give daan yathashakti — grain or clothes touched to your body, or a full meal to even one poor person; serve living beings. Throughout the whole period feed salty biscuits daily to a stray dog, not a pet — a black one, or any dog — saying "free me from abhichar, let the mantra take effect, let Batuk Bhairav's grace come". Do three anushthans of 11 days each, or three of 21, and you will be completely free of tantra; it is a quite ordinary prayog with no adverse effect, nothing to fear. The lamp from the sankalpa plate is set somewhere in the temple to burn out fully, and the sankalpa Akshat is offered to a deity's vigraha, kept by Shiva, or left at a worshipped Peepal tree — where no foot can touch it. Do it with full surrender to Batuk Bhairav, he says, and by his grace you will certainly be protected.
On the last day, the speaker says, whichever deity's temple it is — Kali ji's, Shiva ji's, Bhairav ji's — take at least half a kilo to a kilo of laddus, or up to a sava kilo. Offer them as bhog and give them to the pujari ji there to distribute to everyone. No prasad at all is to be brought home; keep that much in mind. You will complete this work three times — this sadhana you will finish three times. On the last day, after the bhog of laddus, some daan should be given that day: yathashakti, whatever you can, touch it to your body and donate grain, donate clothes; feed even a single poor person a full meal. Be sure to serve living beings. Throughout this whole period, as much as possible, feed salty biscuits to at least one dog every day, and while feeding say: free me from abhichar, let the effect of the mantra come, let Batuk Bhairav's grace be obtained. Every day feed a black dog — or whatever dog you find, but it should be a stray, not a pet — salty biscuits. Do this and see, he says: do three anushthans of 11 days each, or three of 21 days each, yathashakti, and you will be completely free of tantra. It is a quite ordinary prayog. The akshat you took the sankalpa with, and the lamp that was burning in the plate — place the lamp somewhere in the temple properly so that it burns out completely; and the sankalpa akshat you may offer to a deity, whoever has a vigraha there — keep it by Shiva ji, or if there is a tree there that is worshipped, a peepal, offer it there and leave it. No foot should touch it. If anything is missed or unclear, ask in the Telegram group, he says, and do this. There is no need to fear anything; this prayog has no adverse effect; nothing will trouble you. Take the sankalpa and do it with complete surrender to Batuk Bhairav; by his grace you will certainly be protected.
