The First Aṃśa प्रथम अंश
Maitreya's questions and Parāśara's answer: Viṣṇu as the source of all; the order of creation; time and the ages; the raising of the earth by the Boar; the lines of Dakṣa, the churning of the ocean, Dhruva, Pṛthu, the Pracetasas, and Prahlāda's devotion. मैत्रेय के प्रश्न और पराशर का उत्तर: सबके मूल विष्णु; सृष्टि का क्रम; काल और युग; वराह द्वारा पृथ्वी का उद्धार; दक्ष के वंश, समुद्र-मन्थन, ध्रुव, पृथु, प्रचेता, और प्रह्लाद की भक्ति।

The Second Aṃśa द्वितीय अंश
The shape of the world: Priyavrata's line, the seven continents and seas, Bhārata, the netherworlds and hells, the heavens, the sun's chariot and the planets; then Bharata's births and the teaching of Jaḍabharata and Ṛbhu on the one Self. जगत् की रचना: प्रियव्रत का वंश, सात द्वीप और समुद्र, भारतवर्ष, पाताल और नरक, ऊपर के लोक, सूर्य का रथ और ग्रह; फिर भरत के जन्म और एक आत्मा पर जड़भरत और ऋभु का उपदेश।
