Sāmaveda
The Veda of chant, in its Kauthuma recension: the verses on which the sāman melodies are sung, most of them drawn from the Ṛgveda and set in a new order for the soma rite. The Pūrvārcika gathers single verses to Agni, Indra and Soma Pavamāna; the Uttarārcika gives them in the groups that are sung together at the rite. Our own translation, verse by verse — a work in progress.

पूर्वार्चिकः
Pūrvārcika पूर्वार्चिक
The first ārcika: 650 single verses in six prapāṭhakas, then the Āraṇya kāṇḍa and the Mahānāmnī verses — to Agni, Indra and Soma Pavamāna. पहला आर्चिक: छह प्रपाठकों में 650 अलग-अलग ऋचाएँ, फिर आरण्य काण्ड और महानाम्नी ऋचाएँ — अग्नि, इन्द्र और सोम पवमान के लिए।
