प्रथमः स्कन्धः
First Skandha प्रथम स्कन्ध
The sages at Naimiṣa question Sūta; the Lord's descents; Vyāsa's unrest and Nārada's counsel; the end of the Kurukṣetra war, Kṛṣṇa's departure, and King Parīkṣit's curse that leads him to hear the Purāṇa from Śuka. नैमिष में ऋषियों के प्रश्न; भगवान् के अवतार; व्यास की अशान्ति और नारद का उपदेश; कुरुक्षेत्र युद्ध के बाद की घटनाएँ, कृष्ण का प्रस्थान, और राजा परीक्षित् को शाप, जिसके बाद वे शुक से पुराण सुनते हैं।

Second Skandha द्वितीय स्कन्ध
Śuka begins his teaching to Parīkṣit: meditation on the cosmic form, the four verses told to Brahmā, and the ten topics of a Purāṇa. शुक परीक्षित् को उपदेश आरम्भ करते हैं: विराट् रूप का ध्यान, ब्रह्मा को कहे चार श्लोक, और पुराण के दस लक्षण।

Third Skandha तृतीय स्कन्ध
Vidura's meeting with Uddhava and Maitreya; creation; the Boar and Hiraṇyākṣa; Kardama and Devahūti, and Kapila's teaching to his mother. विदुर की उद्धव और मैत्रेय से भेंट; सृष्टि; वराह और हिरण्याक्ष; कर्दम और देवहूति, और कपिल का माता को उपदेश।
चतुर्थः स्कन्धः
Fourth Skandha चतुर्थ स्कन्ध
Dakṣa's sacrifice and Satī; Dhruva; Vena and Pṛthu; the Pracetases and the allegory of Purañjana. दक्ष का यज्ञ और सती; ध्रुव; वेन और पृथु; प्रचेता और पुरंजन का आख्यान।
पञ्चमः स्कन्धः
Fifth Skandha पञ्चम स्कन्ध
Priyavrata, Ṛṣabha and Bharata; the earth's islands and continents, the heavens and the lower worlds. प्रियव्रत, ऋषभ और भरत; पृथ्वी के द्वीप और वर्ष, आकाश के लोक और नीचे के लोक।
षष्ठः स्कन्धः
Sixth Skandha षष्ठ स्कन्ध
Ajāmila and the power of the name; Dakṣa's descendants; Vṛtra and Indra; the puṃsavana vow. अजामिल और नाम की महिमा; दक्ष के वंशज; वृत्र और इन्द्र; पुंसवन व्रत।
