ॐकारमाद्यं प्रवदंति संतो वाचः श्रुतीनामपि यं गृणंति ॥
गजाननं देवगणानतांघ्रिं भजेऽहमर्द्धेंदुकृतावतंसम् ॥ १ ॥
oṃkāramādyaṃ pravadaṃti saṃto vācaḥ śrutīnāmapi yaṃ gṛṇaṃti
gajānanaṃ devagaṇānatāṃghriṃ bhaje'hamarddheṃdukṛtāvataṃsam

जिन्हें सन्त आदि ॐकार कहते हैं, जिन्हें श्रुतियों की वाणियाँ भी गाती हैं, जिनके चरणों में देवगण झुकते हैं, जिनका शिरोभूषण अर्धचन्द्र है — उन गजानन को मैं भजता हूँ।
English sense
I worship the elephant-faced one whom the good call the primal Oṃkāra, whom even the voices of the Vedas praise, at whose feet the hosts of gods bow, who wears the half-moon as his crest-jewel.
