Sankatanashana Ganesha Stotram — The twelve names that remove trouble
Verses 8, anuṣṭubh metre

Nārada tells the one who wants long life, wishes fulfilled and wealth to bow to Ganesha and remember him by twelve names: the one with the curved trunk, the one-tusked, the elephant-faced, the big-bellied, the moon-browed and the rest. The last verses promise that no obstacle will frighten the reciter, and that a year of recitation brings success.

प्रणम्य शिरसा देवं गौरीपुत्रं विनायकम् ।
भक्तावासं स्मरेन्नित्यमायुःकामार्थसिद्धये ॥ १ ॥

Bowing the head to the god Vināyaka, the son of Gaurī, the home of his devotees, one should remember him always, for long life, wishes fulfilled and wealth.

जो मनुष्य दिन की तीनों सन्धियों में इन बारह नामों का पाठ करता है, उसे विघ्नों का भय नहीं रहता, और हर सिद्धि उसे मिलती है।

Whoever recites these twelve names at the three junctions of the day has no fear of obstacles, and every success comes to him.

हिन्दी अर्थ

जो इस गणपति-स्तोत्र का छह महीने जप करे, उसे इसका फल मिलता है। एक वर्ष में उसे सिद्धि मिलती है। इसमें कोई सन्देह नहीं।

English sense

If one recites this hymn to Gaṇapati for six months, one gets its fruit. In a year one gains perfection. There is no doubt about this.
