Prayaga Ashtakam — Eight verses in praise of Prayāga, king of fords

Every verse ends sa tīrtharājo jayati prayāgaḥ: victory to Prayāga, king of fords. In between, the verses show it as the meeting of the white and the dark river, the dark banyan that takes away weariness, the place where even Yama puts down his rod, and the ford whose fame fills the three worlds.
