Verses 10, upajāti and anuṣṭubh metre Pāṭha Vasiṣṭha Saṃhitā, as given in the Mantra Mahārṇava

Maṅgala is the planet Mars, the red son of the Earth, who is prayed to on Tuesdays. The hymn opens with a picture of him, gives the short string of his names that is read in the early morning, and ends in praise of his power to remove debt and give a household its good fortune.
