Langulastra Shatrunjaya Hanuman Stotram — The hymn of the tail-weapon, for conquering enemies
Verses 31, anuṣṭubh metrePāṭha As given in the Mantra Mahārṇava
A hymn to Hanuman as the one who conquers enemies. It opens with a bow and a call to come, then gives the meditation on the sun-bright son of the Wind, a mantra set with seed-syllables (Bija Mantra), and a second meditation on him standing on the battlefield. The twenty-three verses then name him one by one by what he has done, the sun taken as a mouthful, the ocean crossed, the enemy's city burned, the mountain carried, and the first twenty-two end on one refrain: "with the fall of your swinging tail, strike down my enemies".
