Chant a fixed count of 5 to 21 rosaries daily from Krishna Paksha Ashtami to Amavasya, keeping the same count throughout; before starting, take a Sankalpa with water, flowers, and Akshat stating name and Gotra, followed by Panchopachara worship and Dahi Vada and Boondi Laddu as Bhog.

A simple mental or spoken resolution stating the Tithi, Vara (day of week), Samvatsara (year), Name, and Gotra should be taken before morning and evening worship.

A Yantra is drawn, predominantly within a Shamshaan, with a Putla bearing the target's name built at its center from Tamasic ingredients and caste-appropriate shroud cloth, using fire carried from the target's home in a Handi; it is then consecrated through Tantric Prana Pratishtha naming the target and their Gotra.
