Meat and alcohol offerings work within a separate sacrificial system used by sorcerers (Ojhas) who bind and direct their own spirit forces in exchange for such offerings — it is a different mechanism from Satvik worship, not a shortcut within it, and simply naming a deity like Bhairava does not make an offering effective.

A consecrated Rudraksha is sufficient protection for someone who avoids meat and alcohol — but anyone consuming meat or alcohol, or visiting impure places, should wear a Kavach of their Ishta Devata or Bhairav alongside it.
