It is said in the V\u012bra Tantra: \"Having done the plain m\u0101t\u1e5bk\u0101, then the m\u0101t\u1e5bk\u0101 enclosed by the pra\u1e47ava, the best of adepts should place the pra\u1e47ava enclosed by the m\u0101t\u1e5bk\u0101; then the m\u0101t\u1e5bk\u0101 enclosed by the \u015br\u012b b\u012bja and the \u015br\u012b b\u012bja enclosed by the m\u0101t\u1e5bk\u0101; the goddess enclosed by the k\u0101ma b\u012bja and the k\u0101ma b\u012bja enclosed by her; the goddess enclosed by the \u015bakti b\u012bja and the \u015bakti b\u012bja enclosed by her; again placing the pair with kr\u012b\u1e43, and \u1e5b \u1e5d \u1e37 \u1e39 as before; the goddess enclosed by the root mantra and the mantra enclosed by her; and having placed the mantra in forward and reverse order as laid down, one should then do the pervading ny\u0101sa with the root mantra a hundred and eight times.\" Thus: \"Om a\u1e43 om\" \u2014 so the pra\u1e47ava enclosed by the m\u0101t\u1e5bk\u0101.
